ABOUT OPERATION HAMMER

Cold Weather Comfort Boxes is a program of The James Hammer Legacy Foundation created to provide  winter care packages to veterans, service members, military families, and surviving families in need during the winter months throughout New Jersey.

Operation Hammer begins October 1, 2026, and will run through March 31, 2027.

Each box will be prepared based on the individual needs of the recipient or family.

When requesting a box, we will ask for information such as coat sizes, ages of household members, winter essentials needed, and any other specific needs so we can provide items that will be genuinely useful.

As part of the request process, we will also ask for verification of military service or military family affiliation to confirm eligibility.

Boxes may include warm winter essentials, household necessities, personal care items, comfort items, and other useful items to make the colder months a little easier.
